How to use
Use Trimox as directed by your doctor. Check the medicine label for exact dosing instructions.
Take Trimox by mouth with or without food. If stomach upset occurs, take it with food to reduce stomach irritation.
To completely clear your infection, take Trimox for the entire course of treatment. Keep taking it even if you feel better in a few days.
Drugs and Class Mechanism
Trimox is a penicillin antibiotic. It works by killing sensitive bacteria.
If you miss a dose of Trimox, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not take two doses at the same time.
Store Trimox capsules and unreconstituted powder at or below 20 degrees C (68 degrees F), and the chewable tablets at room temperature, 15 degrees to 30 degrees C (59-86 degrees F). Dust that has mixed with water must be discarded after 14 days. Refrigeration is preferable, but not necessary for powder mixed with water.
